I am watching my two nephews this weekend while their mom and Jon are in Kenya. I got here last night and will leave late Sunday afternoon. Today so far the plans are to go to McDonalds and Walmart. Pretty exciting stuff! LOL Last night we went to TGIFridays and that was really good. I had a bed partner come in about 1am, Ivan is a little lonesome for his parents. I guess I would feel the same way if I were 7 and they were so far away for 3 weeks.
Yesterday was suppose to be Jon and Judy's wedding day. The day would have been perfect for their outdoor wedding. Well at least they are in Kenya now and Jon will get to meet Judy's parents. Maybe when they come home they will be ready to set a date, orrrrr maybe they will be married. Who knows.
Well I guess we are off to McDonalds and a ice cream place, new plan since I started writing this! LOL Have a wonderful Saturday!

Happy Tuesday my friends. Today is a day when I feel like my favorite character Eeyore! I was awake from 3 am until at least 5:30am and so today has just been a sludging through mud kind of day. I made it through work and now tonight I am just very reflective about my lack of friends. I have never had a group of friends. In highschool there were all of the cliques and I was an outsider. I have missed having girlfriends and people I can talk to and even people I can do things with. Being single I think makes it extra hard because there is so much of the time that I am alone.
OK now after thinking about it I guess I am not alone, God is always there with me, I can always talk to Him and He is always there for me. I guess I need to remember that.
Have a great Wednesday everyone! Be blessed!

Cathcing up....
Well Saturday is almost over but I thought I better update my blog since I haven't been in here since Monday. I always have good intentions but then lose track of time. It has been a busy this week this week. I worked on Monday and Tuesday of course and then Wednesday I had the day off but I had to go to the dentist. After I got done there I went and did some shopping at Walmart which is about 40 minutes away and then came home again. Early Friday morning, like 3:30 am there was a terrible storm. We got 5 inches of rain, there was high winds and the lightening and thunder were scary! I of course didn't really get back to sleep after that. Friday it was still rainy and cloudy and we got another inch and half of rain. There were a lot of trees uprooted and people are still cleaning up this weekend. I guess the school and the Dairy Queen also got flooded. I am very thankful that no one was hurt and really the damage wasn't too bad. After work on Friday I went out to my mom and dad's house because it was my mom's birthday. My sister got us sandwiches from a sub place and we had a good time visiting and stuff. I was pretty tired so I went home and went to bed early. I had to work a half day today and that went fine. It was still hot and humid today but hopefully tomorrow the humidity is suppose to be less as are the temps. I am hoping I will be able to open my windows and enjoy some fresh air!
Well that is about it for me, nothing to exciting. Have a great rest of your weekend!

Trust...
Life has been tough for the last couple of days. I feel like I have been tested and I am so trying to trust that God knows what I am going through and that He will bring me through it. I am praying that situations beyond my control are all covered in His.
Tomorrow is Friday and I am so glad about that. It seems like the week back to work after vacation takes forever. I am ready for a weekend off although it is going to be busy. I know it will fill up my love tank because all of the business has to do with spending time with family and what better thing to do than that. Being with my family this weekend, knowing that in their eyes I am special, I am important, I am good enough, I am loved. Yes that is exactely what I need.

We got back on Thursday from Kansas City. It was a fun time but oh so tiring. We got into KC Monday just in time to change and freshen up a little and then head to the ballpark. We ate supper there, they have great chicken strips. The weather was a little hot but there was a nice breeze so that made it a lot nicer. The game was great! We won 19 to 1. Our seats were only 7 rows up from the field so it was neat to see the game up close and personal. On Tuesday Tammy had to take her car in because it was making a terrible sound and we just want to chance it anymore. She took it to Midas and there was some broken rod so that had to be fixed and also brakes had to be put in. I was at the hotel with the boys and we thought the latest she would be back was 1 so I got them out of the pool and had them all ready to go to lunch and the WWI museum at 12:30. Well at 2:30 she still wasn't back so I finally called the place and talked to her and she said it was worse than she first thought but she should be back shortly. She got back at 3 and we didn't have time to go to the museum so we went to a fancy Jack's Stack's place for their ribs and then headed to the game again. I think this day tired me out the most being with two preteen boys with nothing to do but wait in a hotel room. Oy!! The game was another good one and we won again but it was a lot more humid and hot.
Wednesday we got up and headed to Iowa. The boys and Tammy watch this show on the History channel called American Pickers and the store and home base is in Iowa so we stopped there. The first time we were there they git their picture taken with the girl that is on the show and bought some tee-shirts. We drove around town a bit and it was almost time for the place to close so we drove by again and the van the guys use was there so we stopped again and the boys got Mike's autograph and pictures taken with him, they were so excited.
Wednesday night we stayed in Dubuque IA and then Thursday on the way home we stopped in Dyersville IA at the site where Field of Dreams was filmed. The boys had both seen the movie and it was a really neat place to see. Here we are there.
