Tuesday's Display Chain.

Misi is hosting another display chain and I really wanted to join in. Her theme this week was
a crafting or decorating secret exposed. Now I do not create the beautiful crafts that the pther talented ladies do, no etsy store to sell from but I do love buying from them and really as much as I would like I am just not too creative. I do love to decorate and I live in an apartment so I thought I would share a couple of decorating secrets I use.
First of all I am a nature lover so I love to bring the outside in. I take a lot of nature photographs and love to print them out and use as art for my walls. I also love decorating with things I find outside. Here are some branches I used at for Valentine's
And also some more branches I used for my Easter tree.
In the fall I love getting dead weeds and putting them in my crock to make a nice display also, don't have a picture of that.

Also when you live in an apartment you have those nice white walls and landlords that don't want you to paint. There are usually some really big walls that would need a lot of  pictures and shelves to fill up. One trick I like to do is find a nice sized painting at a thrift store and then cover the painting with a nice fabric, paint out the frame and tah dah, instant cheap wall fillers!

I know it isn't much but that is all I have for today.
Have a great week and as always, Be blessed!

Hi Cindi! Thanks so much for visiting and commenting! It's so great to 'meet' new blogger friends!
I'm following you too - great tips - I'm totally the same as you, as I love to go out and find things nature provides free of charge! I love how you used candy in the vase too - a lovely pop of color!
Thanks for sharing!

I so agree with you Cindi, There is nothing better than natural beauty. I love how you used those red branches. I have admired that bright red & have seen those bushes along the road side unfortunately it always seems to be when i am on a very busy road. *love your display..I must make an attempt to go back and get some for me. My little sis lives in an apartment and is having the same situation with the landlord request, i will surely tell her about your Wall art for color idea!
Thank you for joining along in the chain, I really appreciate your sharing.

Hi Cindi,
I love how you used the branches. My friend did the same thing with the candy...except her display was in the Fall and she used candy-corn. Love the wall art idea.
hugs,
Cindy

Cute idea to use candy as a bowl filler for the branches! But with 3 kids and a hubby that love and devour candy, this would never work for us. Lol, they would seriously eat the candy out of it even if it had tree branches in it. Very cute for the different holidays! I bet your fall display would be really pretty, that's my favorite time of the year! Great idea on your wall filler too!

Have a wonderful week~

Hello Cindi - I've visiting here from the "chain gang." (Little late, I know, but, hey, better late than never?) I, too, love bringing the outdoors in. After 20+ years, even my husband and son are trained to bring in hornets nest, birds nests, etc. that they find. Great idea with the candy - but I wouldn't be able to keep my fingers out. ;o) Thanks for joining us in the chain! (And congrats on being one of Misi's lucky winners!!) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
