The Little Things

Happy Friday everyone. I pray that you all had a fantastic week and are now able to enjoy a great weekend. I have had quite a week. On Tuesday I had to go to Mayo Clinic to meet with an urologist about my kidney stone and get some tests taken. he said that I could have the procedure done on Wednesday. So we got up early Wednesday morning and I got my procedure done at about 10. When I got back to the room I was really hurting. When the doctor came in he said that they had do a lot of prodding so there was a lot of swelling so they had to put a stent back in. I was suppose to keep it in until Monday. I left the hospital about 2 and we drove home and I was still hurting and did not sleep at all Tuesday night. Wednesday I got up and had some bleeding and pain. On Thursday I called the hospital and told them what was going on and they said that more than likely the stent had slipped out of place and so that was the problem, they told me to just go ahead and take it out. Thank God that is what the problem was. Although I still had some discomfort it was a lot better.  I went to work a half day today and I felt pretty good there too so I think I can say that I am finally done with my kidney stone! Yay!!

On Monday I was out and about and I just had to get some lilacs to bring inside. they are so pretty and I love the way they smell. I put them in a little mason jar, too cute! I only wish they would last longer.
Wednesday afternoon when I got home from the hospital I got a delivery from the Blossom shop. I was so excited. My Godparents sent me this arrangement to get well soon. It is so springy looking.
It is the little things that mean the most to me and that I enjoy. Like the smell of lilacs in the spring. Like family showing how much they love and support me.

This weekend is going to be a busy one. Tomorrow I am going to a family wedding shower and then on Sunday we are celebrating my niece's and SIL's birthdays. It will be a lot of fun. Have a great weekend friends and remember to enjoy the little things! Be blessed!

Going to the Urologist scares me. I go once a year for an annual. Glad that your kidney stone is gone. I understand they are extremely painful. The lilacs are so pretty. Before we moved to a new home, I would cut a huge bunches of them and set them on my kitchen table. Thanks for sharing the simple things. Sometimes I need a good reminder.
