Tuesday Display Chain...

Today I am just getting in under the wire to enter Misi's Tuesday Display Chain.  This week's theme is See It, Do It. We were to find an inspiration on Pinterest and then actually follow through and and use the idea to create the idea into our own thing. Now for me that is the hardest, following through and actually doing something with all of the ideas I have pinned so this was a perfect theme for me.

My mom is again having Thanksgiving this year but now that I am not in the hospital and also I have healed enough that I can help with the day that is exactly what I am going to do. I found these cute turkeys on Pinterest that originally came from  the blog Binge Crafter. Here is her picture.
Looking at the more carefully I am now aware that she probably used those little ice cream spoons for the heads and little wooden hearts...I of course didn't have those things so I decided to use felt. It isn't as cute as the originals but I think they turned out pretty well and I think the table will look cute with each setting having one of these. I have candy corn in this one for the picture but it could be filled with a number of different things, maybe even a napkin. We will see.
Sorry the picture is kinda blurry, not sure why. Anyway please go to Misi's blog 1890 Gablehouse Musings and check out all of the others that have joined in this week. Thanks again Misi for hosting it has been fun!

Cindi,
These are super cute!!! I have to remember this. I agree, yours are cuter, especially with the felt. I wonder if I could simplify it with the sticks and maybe have my fifth graders do it? They won't look nearly as good as yours, but I guess parents overlook that? :) I don't think they could do the bow. I want to make some for myself! I like your idea of putting napkins in them. They would be cute at each place setting at Thanksgiving (I only have to make 4!). Thank you for sharing this! I love it! I am definitely using felt!!!

Blessings, friend!
