My Vacation

Last week my sister, mom, dad and I went to Michigan to go to Mackinac Island. It was a beautiful trip so I thought I would share some pictures.  We traveled a bit more than half way on the first day and stayed right on the border of Wisconsin and Michigan the first night in Marionette WI. I knew we were staying there so I went on the web to see if I could find any prim stores there and I hit the jackpot. I found the shop called 1896 Homestead Shoppe, LLC. I messaged her on FB to see what her hours were on Friday and she messaged me back that they were open until 5, we pulled into town at 5:30 and it was the first place we went. My mom, sister and I went in and of course bought some things. Here are just two pictures I took of her cute Halloween/Fall things. Very cute store.
I love lighthouses!

The Grand Hotel from the ferry.

For Mackinac from the ferry
Mackinac bridge connecting the Upper and Lower  peninsulas  of Michigan.
On Mackinac Island..no motorized vehicles, horses, bikes and feet are the way to get around.

My favorite place, Arch Rock. It was a cave and the rest collapsed leaving just the opening, so pretty!

From Arch Rock to the shore below where people have made pictures with rocks, the Olympic rings and hearts.

The dining room at the Grand Hotel where we had lunch.

Another lighthouse.

It was a great vacation and a lot to see, some things we didn't even get to see, maybe another trip another time.

Cindi, My sisters in laws live in Alpena MI, so she drives that bridge frequently. She's been married for over 15 years and I have never actually seen a picture! So seeing yours was really neat! She actually was there last week too! Maybe you passed each other on the bridge, lol!! Katie

Hi Cindi,
I love lighthouses too. On our 25th anniversary, we went to Michigan and did a light house tour. We also went to Mackinac Island and I loved it. Hope to go back there someday. My daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids spent a week on the island about 3 weeks ago.
Sounds and looks like you had a great time.
blessings,
Cindy
