Finally...

Hello friends, yes I am alive! I am coming to you with more snow to report and oh such cold weather this week. Our lows are going to be in the single digits and highs in the teens, add the windchilld and it is going to feel like below zero...excuse me Mother Nature ma'am...but tomorrow is the beginning of Spring not winter. So anyway it is not the spring weather I have been longing for at all. I think the news people are making it worse because they keep showing how warm it was last year at this time. They love rubbing it in.

I would love to say that I have been missing in action because I have been in the Twin Cities spoiling my new nephew Isaiah but not I have not seen him since the last time I posted, sad Auntie. I miss him so and I am sure I will see a big change in him when I see him on Easter.

So what Have I been doing? Well glad you asked, obviously not much to blog about. One of the girls I work with at the Pharmacy had shoulder surgery so I have been working everyday to try and help out a little. It has taken it's toll on me for sure. I haven't worked every day since I  got out of the hospital and I have to say it is hard on me. She goes back to the doctor next Monday and I am hoping she will be able to work at least some hours so I can cut down again.

I did have a fun day on Saturday. There was a new quilt store in the next town to where I live so I decided to take the 20 minute drive to go and check it out. I don't quilt or sew but just went to drool over all she had. There were so many beautiful fabrics...I even bought some that caught my eye and just "had to have". I also bought some wool felt. I am not sure how or if I will use them but it is sure fun buying them and dreaming!

I have also been working on some things for my partner in Amy's Spring Tidings swap. I am finally a little bit more confident enough in some of my work that I am actually making some things instead of buying everything. This time I am making a stitchery and maybe something else. I also bought some things too. I think the homemade things really are things from the heart so I am trying. Here is a sneak peak.

Well I guess that is all for now. Hopefully my next post will be celebrating it really feeling and looking like spring.

Be blessed,
Cindi

Yes, the sun shinning is deceiving! I ran out in short sleeves thinking it was 60 degrees out. I was wrong. Today I at least wore a hoodie but the wind cut right through me. I didn't even want to go anywhere. Too darn cold. I'm loving your chick, so cute!

Hi Cindi! Uh oh! Buying fabric you can't resist at a quilt store? Not sure what to make out of it? Sounds like you are catching the fabric disease so many of us are afflicted with! ;) I think you will figure something out by the looks of that sweet chick. I was wondering where you were ...but I've been missing awhile too. I hope your work schedule settles down soon--gotta get some baby hugs in! ---Jan
