Family Day...

It was an absolutely beautiful summerish day today.  The temps were in the 90s and the sun was shining brightly. My sister, mom, dad and I took off to go to my brother and SIL's house. It was a beautiful drive along the Mississippi River and there were a lot of people out enjoying their boats.

Doesn't that just look like so much fun? When we got to the house we went out to eat at Famous Dave's BBQ, the food was so good and the company was the best! My SIL was enjoying herself,

Candle Hugger Swap

Boy it sure has been awhile since I blogged with all of you. Sometimes it just seems as if my life is just too boring to come in and post about. I am pretty sure you all don't want to read...I got up, did chores, worked, ate supper, watched TV and went to bed everyday! LOL  I have saved you from my boring life.

Today though I have something so exciting to share! I took part in Kendra's candle hugger swap. My partner was Wendy form Ravenwood Whimzies. Boy did I ever get blessed! Here is the inside of my package, such pretty spring colored tissue paper!

Bad Timing...

Hello everyone. I can't believe it has been over a week since I have posted. I guess it is because I had a pretty emotionally hard week last week. We had some family drama and it seems like I got the brunt of someone's anger and was really hurt and shocked by what was said. It still has not been resolved  although I am willing to forgive and move on. I have not been issued an apology of any kind and I  feel I need that. I was deeply deeply hurt. I am praying for this family member and also for everyone involved.

Wednesday it was a beautiful sunny, warm afternoon so I decided to go and buy flowers. I got two hanging plants and then some flowers to plant three containers. I spent the afternoon planting my containers and setting up my "garden".  I was pretty happy with it when it was done except I needed to go to my parents to get an old chair to put one of my pots on. I was pretty tired so I just set it on the ground for now. I went in the house, had a shower, supper and was reading when I heard rain, lots of rain, and wind and hail. It was a terrible storm and the tornado warning sirens even went off. Needless to say my :garden" did not look the same. Here are some pictures, notice the hail still on the ground.

I am hoping that they will come back but I am not sure. I guess it was just bad timing.
