Finally...

Hello friends, yes I am alive! I am coming to you with more snow to report and oh such cold weather this week. Our lows are going to be in the single digits and highs in the teens, add the windchilld and it is going to feel like below zero...excuse me Mother Nature ma'am...but tomorrow is the beginning of Spring not winter. So anyway it is not the spring weather I have been longing for at all. I think the news people are making it worse because they keep showing how warm it was last year at this time. They love rubbing it in.

I would love to say that I have been missing in action because I have been in the Twin Cities spoiling my new nephew Isaiah but not I have not seen him since the last time I posted, sad Auntie. I miss him so and I am sure I will see a big change in him when I see him on Easter.

So what Have I been doing? Well glad you asked, obviously not much to blog about. One of the girls I work with at the Pharmacy had shoulder surgery so I have been working everyday to try and help out a little. It has taken it's toll on me for sure. I haven't worked every day since I  got out of the hospital and I have to say it is hard on me. She goes back to the doctor next Monday and I am hoping she will be able to work at least some hours so I can cut down again.

I did have a fun day on Saturday. There was a new quilt store in the next town to where I live so I decided to take the 20 minute drive to go and check it out. I don't quilt or sew but just went to drool over all she had. There were so many beautiful fabrics...I even bought some that caught my eye and just "had to have". I also bought some wool felt. I am not sure how or if I will use them but it is sure fun buying them and dreaming!

I have also been working on some things for my partner in Amy's Spring Tidings swap. I am finally a little bit more confident enough in some of my work that I am actually making some things instead of buying everything. This time I am making a stitchery and maybe something else. I also bought some things too. I think the homemade things really are things from the heart so I am trying. Here is a sneak peak.

Well I guess that is all for now. Hopefully my next post will be celebrating it really feeling and looking like spring.

Be blessed,
Cindi

Spring Please

Hello everyone well between last night and today we got about 10 inches of snow. I am so ready for spring! I am dreaming of the warm sunshine, the green grass and being able to  plant my flowers. I found some neat pictures on Pintrest that have given me spring fever.

I think I need to find some old chairs, some old pails and fun things to do with my flowers this spring! Have a great week everyone! I wish you lots of love, happiness and peace!

RAK and other fun things.

Hello my friends, I can hardly believe that a week has gone by since I have been here, bad blogger bad blogger.  I had to work extra days last week to make up for taking off Monday to go and see Isaiah and then the weekend I was playing catch up and then I worked again on Monday and yesterday I went to see Iasaih again. I got some more cute pictures. Here is is with his daddy
Here is is sucking his thumb, first time ever...
We got to have some time with his eyes open, he looks so much different with them open
And this one is like he is saying "no more pictures Auntie Cindi! "
I am just so in love and so thankful that I live close enough that I can go and visit. I am also thankful that my brother and especially my SIL are so welcoming!

I got a surprise in the mail when I got home last night...I was trying to figure out what I had ordered. Well it was a RAK from Christina at Pendleton Primitives. They are so cute and smell so good. She got them from Prairie Antiques, right here in Minnesota. Thank you so much Christina, you are such a sweetie.

I also have to share this darling bunny that I ordered from Brenda at The Rusty Thimble. I love Brenda's work and when I saw this I just had to order it. I love it!

Well that is all I have for now. Be well everyone!

He's Here!!

Well it is a month early but my new nephew Isaiah entered this world on 2/18/13 at 12:28 am. He weighed 7 pounds 3 oz and was 20 inches long. Mom did a great job and everyone is over the hill happy and in love. The doctor said today he might have gotten the dates wrong because Isaiah was perfectly healthy and developed fully in every way..thank God!

I have to share some pictures because that is what proud Aunties do!

Daddy got a picture with his eyes open..LOVE IT!

When we first got to the hospital...these are the big brothers checking out their new baby brother.

This is my nephew Ivan so excited before he got to hold Isaiah...

He held him and said "hi Isaiah, I am Ivan your big brother" I about cried!

Ian holding his baby brother.
Love this picture of Isaiah's little hand on top of Grandma's.
Love my little baby feet!
Me and my nephew Isaiah...I am so in love!

* ~ * Whole Lotta Love * ~ * Day 14

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! I do hope you got to enjoy it with your loved ones. Well today I want to share the love I have for my extended family on my mom's side. For almost 25 years we have all gotten together in either February or March at a hotel for a family get together weekend. For the last oh I would say 15 years we have been going to Wausau WI. Tomorrow we are heading there again for our I think 24th year. My cousins and Aunts and Uncles come from Milwaukee WI...my uncle from Alabama, my cousin form California, my brother and family from the Twins Cities, my brother and his family from Tomahawk and  me, my sister and mom and dad.

My sister and I get a suite and it is the "partty" room. There is only one couch so it is an ever changing group of people on it...you get up you lose your spot. So get ready Wausau, you are being invaded by us again!

Have a great weekend everyone. Thank you all that joined in on my chain! It was so much fun! Now what to blog about? LOL

* ~ * Whole Lotta Love * ~ * Day 13

Well it is Valentine's day eve and almost the end of my series. I have had such a great time reading all of your posts and thank you for posting. Today I would like to show you my Seasonal tree. I tell you it looked a lot more bare until I got my things from Steph. I love the idea of a seasonal tree...just having the lights on at night brings a warmth into my living room. I am already trying to think of things to put on it for Easter. So anyway here is my tree.
I would laso like to share with you my little rose plant. I got this yesterday from my mom and dad for Valentine's. I love the color of it and it has quite a few buds on it so it should last for awhile.
Have a great day tomorrow everyone! I will be working but will be back tomorrow night with my last post.

* ~ * Whole Lotta Love * ~ * Day 12

Today my whole lotta love came in a box from Idaho! This box was from someone whom you all know and whom you all love. She has touched so many people in so many ways. She is a fantastic mother, a good and faithful wife and a truly dear friend. She is a believer and follower of Jesus our Lord and I feel that people are drawn to her because God's love shines through her. My box of a whole lotta love was from our own Sweet Steph who was my partner in Amy's Humble Heart Swap.Remember the other day I said that I loved Prairie Bonnets and Prairie dolls well look what I got!!
I got a bonnet! It is in my favorite color too and it is just so special. I got all teary when I saw it! That would have been great to end it there but oh no there were some other great things.
A cute Valentine towel that went right on my oven door after this picture. A darling vintage Valentine pillow tuck and three cute hearts. And two super smelling grubby candles....but wait there is more....
I got this beautiful wreath with the cutest tags on it and these punched heart molds. I have to admit that I took the tags out of the wreath and hung them and the tin hearts on my Valentine tree.

Steph, thanks from the bottom of my heart for this box filled with a whole lotta love! I am surprised you didn't hear me squeal when I saw everything.

Have a great day everyone...see you tomorrow with more love!
