Where does time go?

Hello everyone! I can't believe that we are in the middle of July already, where does the time go? We have had really good weather this summer not really hot until this last week in the 90's. I have been babysitting and spending a lot of time outside with Isaiah, helps a lot when the weather is nice. One day he stepped outside, stood there, looked at me and said "too hot" so that day we spent inside! LOL

Back when Minnesota only had a dome to play baseball in my dad decided to take us ti Kansas City to watch the Twins and Royals play outside We went for a number of years. Most years it was my dad, sister, nephews that would go. Some years we had other members of the family that would come also. There came a time when my dad got to where he didn't want to make the trip so my sister and I ended up taking the nephews. This July 4th weekend we took which will probably be our last trip. It was a lot of fun! The two games we went to the Twins won it was great weather and we all had lots of laughs. We also went shopping at Zona Rosa, went to the WWI museum and of course ate at a lot of fun places. Here are a few pictures.

Logan who will be a senior the first night sleeping in the window seat...he wanted to. LOL
First night we had a little rain but we were prepared, sunglasses and rain poncho Ivan and my sister Tammy.

Logan(17) and Ian(16) at Kauffman stadium Kansas City, great seats!
The boys at a burger place that is also a sports museum Chapells
Ivan (12) eating a triple decker BLT, he ate it all!
 The trip home.

Next week my whole family is going to spend some time at the lake, it should be a lot of fun and not so much driving. I will be back to share some pictures from the fun there. Praying for nice weather!

Enjoy the rest of your summer and thanks for stopping by!

June.....really?

Hello there to anyone that visits here. It has been awhile for a bog post again...it is hard for me as my life is just not that exciting. Well let me put that another way, it is great for me and so exciting to me especially the time spent babysitting but not that exciting for people to read about. I am going to write about it anyway...lol.

I finally got all of my flower containers planted. I was looking for an old chair to have out in the "garden" and also a wash tub but I didn't find either one. Well I did find chairs but they were expensive! I don't want to pay 30 dollars! I have to say that I didn't go to a lot of places so I will just keep looking through the summer. It gives me a good excuse to hit some antique stores and yard sales. I don't do real well at yard sales though because of my disability but if I drive by slow and something looks good I will stop! LOL

As I said I have been doing my babysitting. Isaiah is not a baby anymore. He is well into his "trying twos". He is a lot more active and definitely knows what he wants to do and what he doesn't want to do. I enjoy every second with him though and love to see him learning new things. Here are some pictures I took the other day when he was having fun with a pail of water and a cup.

Outside playing in his water table
Always likes to build with his mega blocks.
Well that is about it for now. Have a great week everyone!

May Day

Hello friends, happy May Day! I have such good memories of May Day from when I was growing up. My mom always had us make May baskets and we always took them around our neighborhood. It was so much fun. I don't remember getting them although I am sure we did but I sure remember leaving them on the doorsteps of our neighbors. I especially remember leaving them on this dear older couples door step. They were like the grandparents of the neighborhood. Such good memories. Seems like neighborhoods are a thing of the past, as are May baskets.

The weather this week has been great. I love being able to take Isaiah outside when I babysit and he loves it too!

We are trying to find an outdoor swingset but so far we haven't. When I go next time I will remember to have them leave me a carseat so I can take him to the park.

I am looking forward to planting my flowers in my containers. Tomorrow my sister and I are going to a spring craft show and I am hoping to find some containers that I can plant my flowers in. I would love some old pails or tubs but we will see what I can find. I see all of the neat idea on Pinterest and would love to be able to have them in my garden...some of my dream ideas.

We will see what I come up with. Have a great weekend everyone and Happy May!!

I'm Ready...

Happy Easter my dear blogging friends. I hope you all have a very blessed day. I thought I would share with you some of the decor I have for Easter and spring. I am getting better at getting more little things but my dream now is to get bigger pieces of furniture that are prim. I would love an old pie safe, some neat shelves and stools. Someday perhaps.

We have been teased with some really nice warm days the last couple of weeks but then they go away again. I am looking forward to when it is warm every day, just not too warm. LOL
Again I hope you all have a very blessed Easter!

Where did it go and swap box.

Well here is the view out my door tonight ad it is still snowing hard...where did my spring go? Last week we had temps in the 60's and the week before that we even got to 70 and now this tonight. I think it is worse getting snow like this after being teased with the nice spring weather. I am just hoping that it melts fast!

Now to a much happier part of my post...I got my swap box from the swap Amy from Bumble Bee Lane hosted. My partner was Becky from Ginger Creme Hollow. Becky and I were swap partners before so I was pretty excited because she is really talented, I was so not disappointed. For a huge surprise people that follow me are going to faint but look at this I finally got a picture of all my goodies all wrapped and pretty, I think this is the first time ever!
Here are the things I got, everything was so fun to open!
I really loved everything and can't wait to add it all to my decorating. I am doing that right now and hope t finish tomorrow or Tuesday before I go back to babysit my nephew. When I am done I will share more pictures.

Thanks again Becky for all of the awesome things and thanks Amy for another great swap!

Thanks to all of you that stop by and visit and who leave comments, you are all appreciated!

Bring Spring!!

Oh my goodness I always have such good intentions to write more regularly on here but then this little thing called life gets in the way! LOL The last couple of days have been so beautiful. We have had temps in the 50's and 60's. The snow is all melted (not that there was a lot) and we all have spring fever. I know it is only March and we might still get snow but these days have been really nice. I even put out some of my Easter things, I will share that at a later date.

About a month ago we celebrated Isaiah's 2nd birthday. It really got me to thinking about how blessed we are to have him in our family and how super blessed I am to be able to babysit him each week.  Never thought Jon would get married much less have a baby at 40 something....only God knows His plans. He just brings so much joy into all our lives It worked out so well the when I was at one of the low points in my life losing a job I loved that I was able to become Isaiah's fulltime  babysitter. We have done so much together and nothing is better than the first time he said my name, asks me for hugs and gives me kisses. I am excited to teach him things and just spend as much time with him as I can.
Here are some of the birthday pictures..His cake...
He loved he balloons we got him...

Big brother Ivan helping with opening the presents

Grandma letting him go after his cake with his fingers.

Eating cake like a big boy...loved being sung to.
Playing with his train with Papa.
 A great birthday...even got a favorite cow.
Thanks for stopping by my blog...have a great weekend and bring on spring!
