L is for Laughter.

One of my favorite things to do is to laugh. My family can really make me laugh. My sister and I laugh about things together we are not even sure why we are laughing. Hearing my niece and nephew laugh is like music to my ears. laughter makes things so much brighter! Have a laugh today and think of me!

K is for Kansas City....

Happy Sunday to all of you! I am behind again so here I am catching up on a Sunday. It is a cold, rainy day so I didn't have much to do after celebrating Palm Sunday at church anyway.

So my family is a huge baseball family. We love following the Twins and go to a couple of games a season. When we had the dome my dad thought it would be fun to go to Kansas City when the Twins played the Royals so we could watch outside baseball. There was one year my mom came and the nieces and nephews and my brother Jon before he was married. I think that was the only year mom came. Then for awhile it was my sister, dad, brother and the niece and nephews. And then it got to where it was just my sister and I taking the niece and nephews. Then the niece and oldest nephew stopped going and we got two other nephews when Jon got married so then it was my sister and I taking them. It is a beautiful park and really fun to watch baseball there. We haven't gone for a couple of years though because now Minnesota has an awesome outdoor ball park Target Field. One thing that Minnesota doesn't have though and that is the famous Arthur Bryant's ribs which we always had to get. Also we made a couple of trips to the Negro baseball Hall of Fame Museum and that was so neat to see. Here are some pictures of our trips.

See you tomorrow!

J is for Junk....

Hello prim friends! So do any of you have friends and family members like mine and think your primitive treasures are "junk"? Do they wonder why on earth you pick up some of the things you do?  I know there are kindred spirits out there that can see the beauty in the same things I do!
An old crate found in a garbage pile made into a table in my living room.
An old set of drawers my Grandpa kept his screw and nails in now is one of my most precious things!
An old crock with dead plants in.
 Old kitchen gadgets.
An old rusty truck now filled with flowers in a yard.
Old ladder holds special things next to  the bed.
An old window hung on the wall and decorated and also old frames

And old soda pop crates on the wall used for shelving more "junk:.

Well that is all for now but I have to say I can't wait until the weather gets better so I can go looking for more treasured junk!

H is for...Honey and Me Angels

Hello friends, thanks again for stopping by my little blog. It is a beautiful day today...we even hit 70 degrees. Everyone was out for walks and enjoying the weather, spring fever in the air and the snow piles are getting smaller.

One of my collections I have is the Honey and Me Inner Light Angels. I just love them and they look so primitive. I had only been able to find them in one shop around here and that was an hour away and now they don't have them anymore, I am sad about that but I do have a good amount. You can't see really good in these pictures but they all have little wire curls sticking out of their heads...LOVE!! So here are the angels I have.

Well that is all for today...I will see you again tomorrow with my "I" word.

F is for flowers.....

Oh how I love flowers...they brighten up the oustside so much! I am certain if I had my own land I would have so many flowers planted all over. I would have both annual and perennial. My favorite flower is the daisy! I really had much luck growing them but I would in my big flower filled yard.
Every spring my sister and I go and do our flower shopping together. Both of us have to be content with container flowers. Here is  pictures of our carts. It is so fun to try and pick out the greatest combinations. We always have too many so my mom and dad wait to buy flowers until we give them our leftovers! LOL

Here is the front of my apartment all planted...

This year we have gone to some antique shops looking for other neat things to plant our flowers in...here is what would be my dream!

Thank you for stopping by....come back in a couple of months when I can show you the flowers I plant this year!
