Some Notes....

Hello blogging friends...it has been awhile again since I have been here. The snow and cold got the best of me and I was sick for a month with a cold/flu. I am still coughing but am on the road to recovery.  I even had to miss some babysitting so you know how bad I felt.  Well it looks like spring may be on its way. The weather for the whole next week  is going to be above freezing and that is such a good thing. We have a lot of snow to get rid of so hopefully it will melt nice and slow so we don't have to worry about flooding.
The first thing I wanted to share with you all is a special 1st birthday we celebrated. It is hard to believe that it was a year ago that we were all blessed beyond imagination with our little Isaiah!  We celebrated at Grandpa and Grandma's house and it was great fun! I didn't get to stay very long because I just didn't feel well but I did get some pictures to share.
The cake the mommy and daddy brought so cute and cupcakes just right size for a year old.
Nope not wearing the silly birthday hat!
Got a little frosting before the actual cupcake, here he is clapping while we are singing Happy Birthday
Big Brother helping blow out the candle.

Oh that was good stuff!!
Presents.
Like I said it was a very special day and really made us all reflect how blessed we have been with this little guy bringing so much joy!

Last weekend we had our annual family winter get together at a hotel. We have been doing this for 25 years. We all meet at a hotel for the weekend and usually just eat, laugh talk and eat some more. This year Isaiah tried out the pool with his daddy and absolutely loved it...he didn't want to get out.

This is just a picture of  the suite that my sister and I stay in that everyone comes into. There were 30 of us and it was a blast. Here they are playing some sort of game. Boys will be boys.
Well that is about all I have to share right now. I hope all of you are enjoying the last days of winter (I hope). Be blessed!

A Dream Come True...

What two posts in two days? I know it is shocking but I just had to share this. When I started blogging with all you Folkart and Prim folk I found the blog Buttermilk Hill. Jan is the folk artist that has this blog and I started following her by email right away because her artwork was AMAZING! I fell in love with all her things right away. In my heart I made a promise to myself that someday I would have something that she created. Well it has taken me 2 years but I finally have two pieces from Jan, they came in the mail today. I tried getting them sooner but we had a little trouble with the mighty mail system and then I had a little trouble with money but today my dream came true. Here is what I got... A snowman that will go on my wall right now and stay as long as I can leave him up...we got snow in May last year so you never know!

Then when fall comes I got this beautiful Harvest painting...

And the most special thing is the snowman was signed by Jan...how sweet!
The next thing I am going to save up for is to get one that just has blessings or welcome or simplify or something like that so I can have it out all year long. I better get my order in now as she sells them so fast!

Thank you Jan for making my dream come true and for sharing your beautiful talent!

Here again.

Hello all of my blogging friends. It was time to change the decor on my blog again so I thought I better  write out a post also. I fell bad that I haven't kept up with this blog but in all actuality my life is pretty boring and there really isn't a lot to share.  My month of February is really going to be a busy one.  The girl that usually babysits Isaiah on the days my mom and I don't is off for three weeks. I will be working and then babysitting the days I am off. I am not complaining but it gets to be a long drive 3 hour round trip.  The last two times I have had pretty rough trips home thanks to the weather also. Speaking...or I guess typing... of the weather it has been so cold here. We are just getting done with two days of no school because the morning windchill is between 45 and 50 below zero. Three weeks ago it was the same thing. We have had a number of days where we haven't even gotten to zero for highs and the 20's seem so far off.  Well actually we might get to 20 above tomorrow but then right back into single digit highs and below zero lows. I tell you ladies I am a lover of winter but this year it has just been too cold and I am ready for spring.
I am doing Amy's Valentine swap so I have been busy making cute (I hope) things to send out. I sure love doing these swaps. It gets me to craft...i always find other things to do besides craft except for others and I do enjoy it.
I am also helping plan a first birthday party for a very special boy on Feb 18th. What a year full of blessings it has been.
I know this is short but I will be back....sometime! LOL
Love to all of you, know that you are all in my heart and in my prayers. Thanks for stopping by!

My Giveaway Win

Hello everyone. Boy it sure has been a busy couple of weeks. I have been working, babysitting, going to doctor's appointments and I can't believe that Christmas is less than a week away.  I finally got all of my cards written out tonight and I will get them in the mail tomorrow. I have only gotten 3 cards, I guess it is a thing of the past.  Although when I have been checking my mailbox there hasn't been cards I did get my beautiful Santa from the giveaway Janice Prims by the Water had. When I read that I had won I was so excited that I actually got tears in my eyes, I felt so blessed. Here is my Santa, now you know why I felt so blessed! Thanks again Janice!
Enjoy your weekend everyone! Be blessed!

A Little Christmas...

Hello friends...is everyone keeping warm. It sure has been cold here in Minnesota and tomorrow is suppose to be our coldest day yet with the temps struggling to get to zero and the wind chill at -25 to -30 degrees....wish I could stay home but I have to work.
We did get a few inches of snow so now it even looks like Christmas.
I have done a bit of Christmas decorating so I thought I would share some pictures

Well that is about it for now. Tomorrow we have Santa coming to my workplace for the kids so that will be fun and then Thursday I go to my nephews "winter" concert, he has a solo and is so excited.  Enjoy your days everyone! Be blessed.

December...

Oh the excitement is in the air...it is my favorite time of the year! I only wish we had some snow on the ground to really get me into the total Christmas spirit.
Before all of the Christmas things began I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The whole family was together and it was a loud, fun time. When I got off work on Wednesday everyone was at my mom and dad's. We spent the night talking and laughing and of course Isaiah was the center of attention. On Thursday we had our meal at noon and did some more talking and visiting and all sat around and watched Isaiah entertain us. On Friday my sister, nephew and SIL went shopping early while I slept in a nice warm bed. I went out to mom and dad's and helped with Isaiah and then my other nephew and I went to my apartment and he helped me put up my tree and garland and the outside decorations. It was so nice to have a nice helper. We had a lot of fun too. I took him to Dairy Queen for a treat to thank him for helping me.

The rest if this weekend I have been slowly getting my decorations out. I was going to go and get some pine boughs today but I didn't get it done. I will have to go on Tuesday when I have a day off.

As this Holiday time draws near I can't help but think of the blogging friends that don't post anymore and I miss them so much! I sure hope they know that they are still loved!

Have a great week everyone I will be back with some decorating pictures soon. For now here is the star of our family!

Oh how he loves to walk around....
